NAGPUR: Family members of Ananta Soni are now planning to seek justice from the court as cops are delaying in solving his murder case. The cops continue to ignore the complaint made by them following Ananta's murder at their Sonba Nagar residence recently.
"Ananta was surprised to see Santosh Ambekar having his photograph. It was Ananta's partners who had taken him to Ambekar for settling the dispute.

Ananta had found Ramlal Kalra with Ambekar when he had gone to meet him," said Sanat, elder brother of Ananta. On January 3, Ananta was attacked and killed while asleep at his residence by an unidentified assailant.
"Our point is that how was Ambekar involved and when did he come into picture among the partners of my brother," said Sanat. Though the Sonis are not suggesting that Ambekar may be behind the murder, they feel there is something suspicious about his involvement.
The Sonis had complained to the Kalamna police that Ananta was being threatened by his partners, including Kalra, after they took him to Ambekar's residence. The shocked Sonis had wanted police protection citing threat from Ambekar. The cops had recorded the statement of Ambekar too during the probe. Ananta's partners have been quizzed too.
"Ananta's partners took him to Ambekar because the latter was heading a so-called human rights organization. All these developments had left Ananta upset," said Sanat. The Sonis are at present staying at a place which belongs to Kalra.
Ananta had a dispute regarding settling the price of the premises too with Kalra. This was in addition to the already ongoing partnership dispute.
"We had mentioned the names of the partners with whom Ananta had a dispute. But the cops did not act on our complaints. They had just recorded their statement of the concerned persons and had summoned them to the police station on couple of occasions. There has been no concrete action," said Sanat.

"Our apprehension is that the cops would sideline the actual culprits and mislead everybody," said Sanat who is preparing to file a criminal writ petition before the High Court on the police's lacklustre effort.
Sanat said Kalamna police station in-charge Anil Choudhary had been informed by Ananta about the dispute he was having with Kalra and his other partners a couple of weeks before he was murdered. Kalra was Ananta's friend-turned-partner for more than a decade but they had fallen out a few years ago.
The Sonis had been also pointing at the involvement of a former pujari who had turned a real estate dealer and made it big. They want the cops to focus their attention on Kalra and the pujari-turned-broker.
"My mother had clearly seen the face of the assailant. We feel that her life is in danger," said Sanat.
He said that family members have been trying to see the commissioner of police Ankush Dhanvijay over the delay in cracking the case. "If police do not get us justice, we may demand probe from other agencies," said Sanat.
